About Me
Thinking you’re ready to take the next step and see a therapist? Here’s how I’ve helped many clients through the years, by offering services that speak to the individual and offer a different perspective. I would describe my approach as direct and trauma-informed. I try to be as practical as possible while also striving to be genuine and empathetic.
I have 5 years experience working with individuals with eating disorders. In that time period, I worked with individuals with co-occurring disorders such as addiction, panic disorder, anxiety and depression. If allowed and relevant, I will work closely with your dietitian in order to give you the best coordinated care possible.
I also identify in the LGBTQ+ community. I enjoy working with trans folk, and those wanting someone who understands their gender identity and sexuality. I self-identify as a lesbian and help clients become their most authentic self. Whether your questioning your sexuality, or just want someone who uses your pronouns correctly, I aim to give LGBTQ+ individuals and couples the care they deserve.
I also love working with children as young as 5, and teenagers. When working with this population, I aim to be the best role model and teach minors how to better communicate their feelings. I work closely with parents so that the family is all on the same page. I believe children and teenagers have the best resiliency and I offer hope to parents disconnected from their children due to behavior changes and problems with school.
My approach focuses on identifying emotions, learning healthy communication and just a sounding board for clients that need someone to listen and understand them. I often give clients journal prompts to do outside session, in order to help and encourage emotional regulation and understanding
